The platform 'Behmahd' (meaning a better kindergarten in Persian) includes a teacher's guide, an online report card on children's progress, a curriculum and flashcards which can be used for teaching various topics, webna.ir reported.
The platform is currently being tested and will be launched in the near future and services will be offered through a mobile application.
Kids under six will benefit from the lessons provided through the platform. Educational content provided through the platform aims to enhance kids’ cognitive, social, verbal, and physical skills, Financial Tribune reported.
The platform is established jointly by the Modern Technology Development Fund and Behmahd, a private company. The latter also offers educational and training content for children through its website (behmahd.ir).
Behmahd director Atieh Fallah says, “If kindergartens use our application, the teaching and training levels can be effectively upgraded.”
The application also links caregivers to parents, who due to the hassles of urban living usually cannot maintain regular contact with teachers. Through the services, parents will be informed about the performance of their kids.
“Parents can receive daily reports through the app that will enable them to monitor their children's performance and take action” if and when the child needs extra attention or is not doing well in any subject,” Fallah added.
The attention of tech firms in many countries is directed at parents and preschool training. International tech companies have released numerous online platforms and applications including Social Adventures, Word Hippo, Phonics Genius, AC Math, Bob Books and Preschool Games For Kids, to help teachers design lessons and manage teaching material in classrooms.
Although there are only a handful of similar locally-developed applications working on training children in Iran, Behmahd is the first of its kind that will offer daily reports to parents in addition to providing teachers with educational material.
