Tehran Stocks Mostly Higher on Monday

EghtesadOnline: Tehran Stock Exchange’s main index TEDPIX gained 24.73 points or 0.01% on Monday to end trading at 166,915.9.

About 1.61 billion shares valued at 4.82 trillion rials ($43.08 million) changed hands at TSE for the day.

Trading at TSE and Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday. 

The Oil Industry Investment Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 9.46% to 4,605 rials per share. OIIC is a holding company in the oil industry whose main function is to invest in companies, complexes and production, industrial, commercial, service and cultural projects and contribute to their  development, Financial Tribune reported.

Pars Khazar Industrial Company– incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 4.97% to 17,204 rials per share. According to its website, Pars Khazar is the largest manufacturer of small electrical home appliances. 

Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company and Tejarat Bank gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Informatics Services Corporation. 

National Iranian Copper Industries Co. contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Jam Petrochemical Company  and MAPNA Group - a conglomerate of Iranian companies involved in development and execution of thermal and renewable power, oil & gas and railway transport. 

The Price Index gained 7.24 points to close at 48,521.6.

The First Market Index was up 22.74 points to post 123,306.7. Second Market Index increased by 31.63 points to reach 330,875.6.

The Industry Index went down by 89.94 points to register 151,515.1. Free Float Index lost 101.05 points to hit 179,063.24.

The TSE 30 went down 12.96 points to settle at 8,244.1 and the TSE 50 ended 0.24% points lower to finish at 7,262.3. 

 

FX Up 1.04%

At the over-the-counter market, Iran Fara Bourse’s main index IFX gained 19.15 points or 1.04% to close Monday trade at 1,857.74.

Over 911 million shares and securities valued at $31.24 million were traded at the junior exchange for the day.

Esfahan Steel Company (ESCO) had the highest number of traded shares and the highest trade value as 255.638 million of its shares worth $2.23 million were traded 

TukaRail Holding Corporation, Iran Office Machines Industries (Maadiran Group and Esfahan Steel Company) registered the highest value increase.

Shirvan Sugar Company, Chaharmahal Food& Sugar Company and East Azarbaijan  Pegah  dairy company suffered the biggest decline.

Esfahan Steel Company, Marun Petrochemical Company and Middle East Mines & Mineral Industries Development Holding Company's (MIDHCO) had the most positive impact on IFX.
