According to the Revenues Department of Tehran Governorate, 93% of these revenues were gained from taxation, Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, mines and Agriculture's news outlet reported.
Direct tax revenues, including tax on non-governmental legal entities, private sector companies and real-estate agencies, hovered around 134 trillion rials ($1.3 billion) while indirect taxes, including value added tax, tax on cigarette sales and departure tax, stood at 119 trillion rials ($1.15 billion), according to Financial Tribune.
