Bilateral trade registered a 9.95% and 3.15% growth in tonnage and value respectively compared with last year's corresponding period, latest data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration show.
Malaysia was Iran’s 22nd trading partner in the world.
Iran’s exports to Malaysia stood at 536,102 tons worth $215.44 million, up 16.28% and 28.28% in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year, according to Financial Tribune.
Malaysia was Iran’s 17th export destination during the period.
Iran mainly exported gas condensates, non-alloy iron/steel ingots, urea and bitumen to Malaysia during the period.
Meanwhile, the country exported 320,595 tons of goods worth $333.33 million to Iran, up 0.77% in tonnage and down 8.44% in value YOY.
Malaysia was the 17th exporter of goods to Iran over the nine months.
The imports mainly included palm oil, machinery and natural rubber.
