45% Rise in Non-Oil Exports From Bushehr

EghtesadOnline: A total of 18.44 million tons of non-oil commodities worth over $10.16 billion were exported from the southern Bushehr Province during the 11 months to Feb. 19, 2019, showing a 1% and 45% rise in weight and value respectively compared with the similar period of last year.

According to Mansour Baziyar, director general of Bushehr Customs Department, petrochemicals, fertilizers, cement, clinker, sulfur, excavation equipment, farmed shrimps, gypsum and tomatoes were the main exported products. 

China, the UAE, South Korea, India, Japan, Indonesia, Kuwait, Thailand and Taiwan were the main destinations, IRNA reported. 

The official added that 510,000 tons of products worth $1.5 billion were imported through Bushehr’s 14 customs bureaus, to register a 52% and 30% decline in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year, according to Financial Tribune.

The main imported goods were power plant equipment, bananas, animal-derived butter, industrial air-conditioners, auto and motorcycle parts, tires, tea, fittings and industrial equipment. 

These were mainly purchased from China, Russia, Philippines, the UAE, New Zealand, India, Italy, Ecuador, South Korea and Belgium.
