18% Growth in Iran's Exports to Malaysia

EghtesadOnline: Iran traded 881,700 tons of non-oil commodities worth $578.01 million with Malaysia during the 10 months to Jan. 20, registering a 0.77% increase in tonnage and a 2.76% decrease in value compared with last year's corresponding period, latest data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration show.

Iran’s exports to Malaysia stood at 542,204 tons worth $219.83 million, up 5.69% and 18.85% in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year. Malaysia was Iran’s 16th export destination during the period.

Iran mainly exported gas condensates, non-alloy iron/steel ingots and bitumen to Malaysia during the 10-month period.

Malaysia exported 339,495 tons of goods worth $358.18 million to Iran, down 6.20% and 12.52% in tonnage and value respectively YOY. It was the 19th exporter of goods to Iran over the period, according to Financial Tribune.

The imports mainly included palm oil, machinery and natural rubber.
