Of the total number of complaints, 86% pertained to products and the rest to services, according to a report published by the Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade.
Some 88% of last year’s complaints have so far been addressed, the report said.
Most of the complaints against providers of goods were related to bread, fruit, vegetables and groceries, Financial Tribune reported.
Restaurants, auto repair shops and parking lots were service centers accounting for a majority of the complaints.
Most of the complaints had profiteering, fraud and missing price tags at their core.
