The work plan was signed by Deputy Minister Ahmad Meydari and UNICEF Deputy Representative in Iran Christine Weigand on Tuesday.
The agreement is focused on strengthening national capacities to expand the child-focused social protection policies and programs, UNICEF’s Iran Twitter account said.
UNICEF was created by the United Nations General Assembly on December 11, 1946, to provide emergency food and healthcare to children and mothers in countries that had been devastated by World War II, according to Financial Tribune.
