"Feedstock supply to refineries, namely Isfahan Refinery, is back to normal," Alireza Sadeqabadi was quoted as saying by Shana.
The accident happened last week when a wheel loader hit the pipeline in the vicinity of Salehabad village which was soon evacuated.
Other pipeline projects are being completed in the region, one of which is the Rafsanjan-Sirjan pipeline in Kerman Province. Renovation of Isfahan's Maroun pipeline is over, according to Financial Tribune.
"Maintenance and renovation of oil pipelines is a priority for the NIORDC as oil spills lead to environmental disasters" and add to the financial burden, he said.
Most crude oil and associated pipelines in Iran were built almost four decades ago.
Although repair and renovation is carried out on a regular basis, there have been several reports regarding pipeline problems in the past few years, Sadeqabadi said.
"The Oil Ministry has ordered NIORDC to monitor the extensive oil network more carefully."
According to former managing director of the Iranian Oil Pipeline and Telecommunications Company Abbas-Ali Jafari-Nasab, an estimated 400 million liters of oil and other products are transported daily via 14,000 km of oil and petroleum pipelines.
IOPTC is a subsidiary of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company.
It uses modern ways such as intelligent pigging of pipelines, controlling corrosion of metals by using cathodic protection techniques and regular inspections of installations to enhance safety and reduce accidents.
