Iran's Non-Oil Trade Volume With Lebanon Up 122%

EghtesadOnline: Iran traded 44,668 tons of non-oil commodities worth $79 million with Lebanon during the last fiscal year (ended March 20, 2019) to register a 122.44% growth in tonnage and 38.23% decline in value compared with the year before, data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration show.

Iran’s exports to Lebanon stood at 41,056 tons worth $66.43 million, up 201.98% in tonnage and down 25.8% in value year-on-year. 

Lebanon was Iran’s 37th export destination during the year.

Iran mainly exported floorings, pistachios, steel bars and carpets to Lebanon during the 12-month period, according to Financial Tribune.

Lebanon exported 3,612 tons of goods worth $12.56 million to Iran, down 44.31% and 67.25% in tonnage and value respectively YOY. 

Lebanon was the 65th exporter of goods to Iran over the year. Its imports mainly included vegetable seeds, chemicals and diesel engines.
