Of the total number of complaints, 84.8% pertained to goods and the rest to services, the head of Consumers and Producers Protection Organization, Abbas Tabesh, was quoted as saying by Mehr News Agency, referring to data provided by the Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade.
"About 60% of the complaints have so far been processed," he added.
Tabesh noted that most of the complaints against providers of goods were related to bread, fruit, vegetables and groceries, Financial Tribune reported.
Restaurants and auto repair shops accounted for a majority of the complaints against service centers.
Most people complained of profiteering and fraud.
