Iran's Non-Oil Trade With Uzbekistan Nearly Triples

EghtesadOnline: Iran traded 103,023 tons of non-oil goods worth $22.27 million with Uzbekistan in the first Iranian month (March 21-April 20) to register a 755.04% and 194.94% growth in tonnage and value respectively compared with the year before, latest data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration show.

Uzbekistan was Iran's 21st biggest trading partner during the month.

Iran’s exports to Uzbekistan stood at 92,381 tons worth $11.39 million to register a 1,480% and 165.25% growth in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year. 

Uzbekistan was Iran’s 17th export destination in the world, according to Financial Tribune.

Iran exported Portland cement, mining equipment, linear alkylbenzenes and polyethylene to Uzbekistan during the one-month period.

The country exported 10,642 tons of commodities worth $10.88 million to Iran, up by 71.53% and 234.09% in tonnage and value respectively YOY. Uzbekistan was the 21st exporter of goods to Iran during the period under review.

Iran mainly imported semi- and wholly-milled rice, field corn, oilcake, butter, soybean and auto parts from Uzbekistan.
