Tehran Stocks Exchange Closes Slightly Higher

EghtesadOnline: The main gauge of Tehran Stocks Exchange TEDPIX gained 823.22 points, or 0.24%, on Sunday to end trading at 344,115.0.

About 5.6 billion shares valued at 31.90 trillion rials ($254.22 million) changed hands at TSE for the day.

Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.

Khavar Spring Manufacturing Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 5% to 22,936 rials per share, Financial Tribune reported.

TUKA Foolad Investment Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 4.46% to 5,441 rials per share.

MAPNA Group contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Bank Mellat, Tehran Oil Refining Company and Tabriz Oil Refining Company.

Pars Petrochemical Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Mobarakeh Steel Company, National Iranian Copper Industries Company and Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company.

The Price Index gained 220.52 points, or 0.24% to close at 91,170.8.

The First Market Index increased 136.70 points, or 0.06% to post 246,594.7. Second Market Index increased by 3,756.67 points, or 0.53% to reach 715,587.7.

The Industry Index increased by 1,006.42 points or 0.33% to register 308,350.4. The Free Float Index was up 1,454.31 points to hit 407,005.28.

TSE 30 gained 21.15 points to settle at 14,497.1 and the TSE 50 ended 24.40 points higher to finish at 13,085.7.

 

IFX Up 0.5%

Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX gained 22.28 points or 0.5% to close Sunday trade at 4,471.36.

About 2.28 billion securities valued at 24.1 trillion rials ($192.05 million) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.

Esfahan Steel Company had the highest number of traded shares as 252.20 million of its shares worth 521.16 billion rials ($4.15 million) were traded.

Esfahan Steel Company, Ghasem Iran Company (active in distribution industry), Goharzamin Iron Ore Company and Damavand Power Generation Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

Marun Petrochemical Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Hormozgan Steel Company, Pasargad Oil Company and Jahrom Power Plant Development Company.
