Semnan Construction Material Exports Exceed 82K Tons

EghtesadOnline: Semnan Province has exported more than 82,000 tons of construction materials worth $8.63 million since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2019) to register a 21% and 23% rise in tonnage and value respectively compared with last year’s corresponding period.

According to Director General of Semnan Customs Administration Ali Sa'deddin, 46 countries are export destinations for construction materials made in Semnan, IRNA reported.

The average export value stood at $860 per ton, Financial Tribune quoted him as saying.

According to the official, Semnan Province is home to 609 mines, 282 of which are active in the production of construction materials.

The province has the biggest gypsum reserves in Iran.

Stretching along the Alborz mountain range and bordering Dasht-e Kavir desert in its southern parts, Semnan Province has an eponymous city as its capital.
