57% Decline in Trade With Turkey

EghtesadOnline: Iran’s trade with Turkey totaled $561.37 million during the first two months of 2020 to register a decline of 57.72% compared with the corresponding month of 2019, data released by Turkish Statistical Institute show.

Iran exported $218.6 million worth of goods to Turkey during the two months under review, indicating a 77.02% decline year-on-year, according to Financial Tribune.

Imports stood at $342.77 million, down 8.98% YOY.

Iran was Turkey’s 20th biggest export destination and 31st biggest exporter of goods to the country during the period.

Data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration on Iran's non-oil trade show liquefied natural gas, non-alloy zinc, aluminum, urea and bitumen were Iran’s main goods exported to Turkey, while Turkey exported mainly cooking bananas, tobacco and fiber during the fiscal 2018-19.
