Lead, Zinc Ore Extractions at Over 970K Tons Last Year

EghtesadOnline: Major Iranian lead and zinc producers extracted a total of 977,343 tons of ores in the last Iranian year that ended on March 19, 2020, to register an 11% decline compared to the year before, the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization’s latest report shows.

Angouran Lead and Zinc Complex accounted for 910,177 tons of the total output to register an 11% year-on-year decline, while Nakhlak Lead and Zinc Plant accounted for 67,167 tons to register a 2% decrease YOY, Financial Tribune reported.

The two producers extracted an aggregate of 1.09 million tons of ores in the last fiscal year.

Lead, zinc ore extractions during the month to March 19 amounted to 94,372 tons, up 16% YOY. Angouran's output stood at 88,615 tons, up 17% YOY. Nakhlak extracted 5,757 tons, up 1% YOY.
