EghtesadOnline: As of August 5, all passengers arriving by air must provide negative Covid-19 test results in English to pass through Tehran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport.

Mohammad Reza Karimian, a board member of Imam Khomeini Airport Town Company, added that their PCR tests for the coronavirus must have been conducted not more than 96 hours before boarding.

“Foreign nationals who fail to provide proof of a negative coronavirus test result will be returned to their home states, but the test will be carried out on passengers with Iranian passport; they will be kept in quarantine for 48 hours until their test results are known. If positive, they will be transferred to health and treatment centers. They will have to meet all coronavirus test and quarantine arrangement expenses,” he was quoted as saying by News.mrud.ir.
