Dollar Higher in Tehran Market

EghtesadOnline: After posting slight increases a session earlier, the US dollar climbed to 260,000 rials on Tuesday up 0.57% compared to the previous day's close.

The greenback was traded at 256,820 rials in the integrated foreign exchange market, 0.67% higher than Monday's 255,080 rials, eghtesadnews.com reported. 

Bank affiliated moneychangers increased dollar price by 500 rials on Tuesday at 259,000 rials. The euro, however, lost 0.13% and fetched 317,890 rials. The European common currency had posted 2.13% growth on Monday. Exchange shops affiliated to banks priced it at 317,700 rials up 500 rials. 

The Emirati dirham gained 0.96% and was traded at 72,700 rials. It is considered as one of the influential currencies in Tehran's currency market. The UK pound sterling lost 150 rials and was tagged at 351,900 rials. 

Meanwhile, gold coins prices continued to rise. Emami gold coin gained 2.03% to finish the day at 123 million rials. It had posted a growth of 2.07% on Monday.

Half Bahar Azadi Gold Coin was sold at 64.5 million rials, up 1.55% compared to Monday's close.  It had gained 2.36% on Monday from 62 million rials to 63.5 million rials. Quarter Bahar Azadi Gold coin rose by 1 million rials to 43 million rials.
