EghtesadOnline: The main gauge of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, lost 1.9% on Saturday as supply continued to outweigh demand. It shed 24,808 points to fall below the critical 1.3 million points, ending trade at 1,285,947.

As seen in recent sessions, the small caps performed better and resisted sell side pressure declining 0.16% in equal-weighted index. 

Almost 11.12 billion shares valued at 106.5 trillion rials ($426 million) changed hands at TSE for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.

Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by National Iranian Copper Industries Company, Mobarakeh Steel Company and Social Security Investment Company.

Bahman Group Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index followed by Sepid Farab Kavir Steel manufacturing Company, Pardis Petrochemical Company and Pars Petrochemical Company.

IFX Down 1.2%

Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, lost 228.19 points or 1.2% to close Saturday trade at 18,847.94.

About 2.2 billion securities valued at 41.66 trillion rials ($166.65 m) were traded at the junior exchange for the day.

Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company, Pasargad Insurance Company, Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company and Esfahan Steel Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

Minoo Industrial Group Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Damavand Power Generation Company, Iran Fara Bourse and Shiraz Oil Refining Company.
