“The damage Trump regime has done to humankind is not enough for its extremists,” Zarif said in a post on his Twitter account on Friday.
“In its last disgraceful days, designating Houthis to worsen humanitarian nightmare & warmongering lies against Iran by [Mike] Pompeo show utter contempt for peace.”
“The planet will be better off without them,” Zarif said of the termination of Donald Trump’s tenure as US president.
In comments on Wednesday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said the tenure of his US counterpart has ended in humiliation and scandals, while the Iranian nation has defeated the White House’s policy of “maximum pressure” and “economic war”.
Praising the Iranian people for their patience and resistance against Trump as the “big terrorist of history”, Rouhani said the US administration ended up in humiliation.
