“Former US President Donald Trump intended to bring our oil exports to zero. However, it never happened and Iran's oil exports have even increased sharply recently,” Bijan Namdar Zanganeh was quoted as saying by the Oil Ministry news agency Shana.
The minister noted that he could not provide details on the volume of exports, saying “the war is not over yet.”
"I am not worried about regaining Iran's lost oil market share,” he said. “If the sanctions are lifted, we will return to the market stronger than before, sooner than you might think."
The 25th Iran Oil Show, which will run until January 25 at the Tehran Permanent Fairground, is held under strict health protocols due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic and only oil industry experts are allowed in the showcase.
This year, 550 domestic firms, 15 universities, and 52 startups attend the exhibition with the motto "National Oil, Iranian Goods and Services."
