TEDPIX Sheds More Points

EghtesadOnline: With deep recession battering Tehran’s share market, the major index of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, declined on Sunday to log ten consecutive decline in a row.

The market cap-weighted TEDPIX lost 9,820 points or 0.79% on Sunday to end trading at 1,230,876. The loss was smaller at 0.2% for the equal-weighted index that reflects the performance of small caps. 

About 1.74 billion shares valued at 19.96 trillion rials ($79.87 million) changed hands at TSE for the day. Behshahr Industrial Development Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 4.55% to 26,180 rials per share.

Post Bank Iran incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 1.97% to 22,870 rials per share.

Mobarakeh Steel Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by the National Iranian Copper Industries Company, Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company and Chadormalu Mining And Industrial Company.

Behshahr Industrial Development Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index followed by Ofogh Koorosh Chain Stores Company, Kish South Kaveh Steel Company and Omid Development and Construction Company.

Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, lost 79.99 points or 0.45% to close Sunday trade at 17,772. About 542.86 million shares and securities valued at 10.66 trillion rials ($42.64m) were traded at the junior exchange for the day.

Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Pasargad Insurance Company, Zagros Petrochemical Company and Marun Petrochemical Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

Baghmisheh Urbanism Company gave the biggest boost to IFX followed by Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company and Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company.
