Tehran Stocks Dip 0.6%

EghtesadOnline: Tehran stocks opened on Sunday under renewed sell-side pressure, which partially eased in the later hours amid demand for some large caps.

The main index of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, shed 8,325.07 points and lost 0.63% to close at 1,302,916.

TSE’s equal-weighted index was down 0.56%. The index reflects the performance of small-sized companies.

About 8.25 billion shares worth 63.52 trillion rials ($254.1 million) changed hands at TSE for the day.

Tamin Pharmaceutical Investment Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 4.99% to 18,310 rials per share.

Sazeh Pouyesh Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 9.74% to 49,790 rials per share.

Mobarakeh Steel Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Nouri Petrochemical Company, Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company and Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company.

Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index followed by Social Security Investment Company, Tamin Petroleum and Petrochemical Investment Company and Pakshoo Industrial Group Company.

IFB Down 0.7%

Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, lost 142.11 points or 0.75% to close Sunday trade at 18,845.16. About 6.17 billion shares and securities valued at 102.47 trillion rials ($409.9m) were traded at the junior exchange for the day.

Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares as 3.91 billion of its shares worth 5 trillion rials ($20.1m) were traded.

Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Zagros Petrochemical Company, Minoo Industrial Group Company and Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

Day Bank gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Shiraz Oil Refining Company, Lavan Oil Refining Company and Day Insurance Company.
