Tehran Stocks Open Week Lukewarm

EghtesadOnline: After eking out a 7% gain a week before, Tehran stocks started a lukewarm session at the beginning of trading week on Saturday.

The main index of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, gained 1,718.18 points or 0.12% to finish trading at 1,407,758.

Smaller listed companies performed relatively better pushing up the TSE’s equal-weighted index 0.25%

About 7.83 billion shares valued at 59.29 trillion rials ($237.17 million) changed hands at TSE for the day.

Iranian Brake Lining Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 5% to 64,060 rials per share.

Sepanta Communication Development Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 4.92% to 444,050 rials per share.

Parsian Oil and Gas Development Group Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Khouzestan Steel Company, National Iranian Copper Industries Company and Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company.

Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index followed by Mellat Bank, Tejarat Bank and Bank Saderat Iran.

IFX Up 0.2%

Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, gained 47.09 points or 0.23% to close Saturday trade at 20,241. About 3.38 billion securities valued at 53.24 trillion rials ($212.9m) were traded at the junior exchange for the day.

Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares as 886.02 million of its shares worth 1.01 trillion rials ($4.04m) were traded.

Zagros Petrochemical Company, Minoo Industrial Group Company, Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company and Arya Sasol Polymer Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Marun Petrochemical Company, Iran Fara Bourse and Pasargad Insurance Company.
