Tehran Stock Exchange Rises 0.4%

EghtesadOnline: Tehran stocks were choppy at the close of trading week on Wednesday and most large caps recovered from an early sell- side pressure.

With rise in demand in final hours of the session, the benchmark of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, gained 6,672.33 points or 0.43% to end trade at 1,550,120.44.

As seen in recent days, small caps outperformed seen in the 1.14% rise in the TSE’s equal-weighted index.  

About 13.34 billion shares valued at 110.26 trillion rials ($424.07 million) changed hands at TSE for the day. Sina Bank was the biggest winner as its shares went up 12.53% to 3,297 rials per share.

Iran Merinos Manufacturing Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 4.4% to 117,670 rials per share.

Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by the Social Security Investment Company, Mobarakeh Steel Company and Pardis Petrochemical Company.

Parsian Oil and Gas Development Group Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index followed by Omid Investment Management Group Company, Tamin Petroleum and Petrochemical Investment Company and Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company.

 

 

IFX Up 0.44%

Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, gained 97.46 points or 0.44% to close Wednesday trade at 22,317.9. About 4.39 billion shares and securities valued at 66.78 trillion rials ($256.8m) were traded at the junior exchange for the day.

Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares as 1.67 billion of its shares worth 2.01 trillion rials ($7.7m) were traded.

Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Sepehr Saderat Financial Group Investment Company, Saba Tamin Investment Company and Hormozgan Steel Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

Zagros Petrochemical Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company, Iran Fara Bourse and Arfa Iron and Steel Company.
