Tehran Stocks Mixed

EghtesadOnline: Tehran stocks were mixed on Sunday as large caps struggled under sell-side pressure while small caps remained at the center of investors’ attention.

The market cap-weighted benchmark of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, lost 3,781.74 points or 0.25% to end trading at 1,537,270.

Reflecting the performance of penny stocks and small caps, the TSE’s equal-weighted index extended a long winning streak and climbed 0.56%.  

About 10.77 billion shares valued at 86.47 trillion rials ($320.3 million) changed hands at TSE for the day.

Vehicle Axle Manufacturing Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 5% to 3,339 rials per share.

Khash Cement Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 4.87% to 136,150 rials per share.

Mobarakeh Steel Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Social Security Investment Company, National Iranian Copper Industries Company and Parsian Oil and Gas Development Group Company.

MAPNA Group gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index followed by Parsian Bank, Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines Company and Nouri Petrochemical Company.

IFB Down 0.2%

Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, lost 52.35 points or 0.23% to close Sunday trade at 22,690.14. About 5.5 billion securities worth 181.84 trillion rials ($673.5 m) were traded at the junior exchange for the day.

Saba Tamin Investment Company, Hormozgan Steel Company, Minoo Industrial Group Company and Arya Sasol Polymer Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

Iran Fara Bourse gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Damavand Power Generation Company, Kowsar Insurance Company and Gilan Electric Power Development Company.
