TEDPIX Closes Flat

EghtesadOnline: Stuck in negative territory for most trading sessions, the benchmark of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, crept into positive zone in the hours of trade on Monday thanks to the improvement in demand for large caps.

The market cap-weighted TEDPIX gained 854.49 points or 0.06% to end trade at 1,436,964. It recovered from more than 5,000 points in losses in the middle of trade.

The TSE’s equal weighted index lost close to 1.1% as majority of small caps stumbled.

About 7.66 billion shares valued at 58.04 trillion rials ($214.9 million) changed hands at TSE for the day. The Iranian Leasing Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 5% to 4,918 rials per share.

Agricultural Industries and Services Development Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 5% to 40,290 rials per share.

Esfahan Oil Refining Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Pars Petrochemical Company, Iran Mercantile Company and Iran Aluminum Company.

National Iranian Copper Industries Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index followed by Shazand Petrochemical Company, Chadormalu Mining And Industrial Company and Kharg Petrochemical Company.

 IFB Down 0.5%

Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX lost 107.43 points or 0.53% to close Monday trade at 20,306.

About 3.59 billion securities valued at 488.09 trillion rials ($1.8 billion) were traded at the junior exchange for the day.

Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares as 836.23 million of its shares worth 782.38 billion rials ($2.9mS) were traded.

Iran Fara Bourse, Sirjan Jahan Steel Complex, Damavand Power Generation Company and Day Bank had the most negative impact on IFX.

Zagros Petrochemical Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Arya Sasol Polymer Compan, Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company and Esfahan Steel Company.
