TEDPIX Closes Flat

EghtesadOnline: The benchmark of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, closed Tuesday near the flat-line barely adding 336.3 points or 0.02% to end trade at 1,384,469.

Unlike TEDPIX, which is driven mainly by the performance of large caps, the TSE’s equal-weighted index closed nearly 1% lower as prices of most small stocks dropped.   

About 5.43 billion shares valued at 39.96 trillion rials ($148 million) changed hands at TSE for the day.

Iran Mercantile Exchange was the biggest winner as its shares went up 5% to 35,710 rials per share.

Shahed Investment Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 7.19% to 11,610 rials per share.

Fanavaran Petrochemical Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Kharg Petrochemical Company, Parsian Bank and Shazand Petrochemical Company.

Pardis Petrochemical Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark followed by Nouri Petrochemical Company, Mobarakeh Steel Company and Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company.

The main index of Iran Fara Bourse, IFX, also closed flat losing 5.26 points or 0.03% to close Tuesday trade at 19,671.04.

About 1.88 billion securities valued at 47.6 trillion rials ($176.3m) were traded at the junior exchange for the day.

Minoo Industrial Group Company, Damavand Power Generation Company, Iran Cultural Heritage and Tourism Investment Group Company and Maadiran Industries Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

Arya Sasol Polymer Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Iran Fara Bourse, Hormozgan Steel Company and Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company.
