The benchmark of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, opened in the negative territory but pared losses in the middle of the session to close 3,480.87 points or 0.25% higher and fend trading at 1,386,973.
TSE’s equal-weighted index closed slightly under the flatline and lost 0.5%. Unlike the market cap-weighted TEDPIX, the index better reflects the performance of small caps.
About 5.78 billion shares valued at 41.36 trillion rials ($147.7 million) changed hands at TSE for the day. Mellat Leasing Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 5.19% to 4,260 rials per share.
Jooshkab Yazd Industries Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 4.9% to 95,170 rials per share.
Chadormalu Mining And Industrial Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Parsian Oil and Gas Development Group Company, Tehran Stock Exchange and Barakat Pharmaceuticals Group Company.
Mobarakeh Steel Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index followed by Tamin Petroleum and Petrochemical Investment Company, Social Security Investment Company and Fanavaran Petrochemical Company.

Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX gained 29.18 points or 0.15% to close Sunday trade at 20,017.62. About 1.4 billion securities valued at 21.9 trillion rials ($78m) were traded at the junior exchange for the day.
Etemad Afarin Parsian Fund had the highest number of traded shares and trade value as 53.8 million of its shares worth 2.16 trillion rials ($7.9m) were traded.
Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Zagros Petrochemical Company, Minoo Industrial Group Company and Saba Tamin Investment Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Iranian Reinsurance Company, Lavan Oil Refining Company and Tejaratno Insurance Company.
