TEDPIX Near Flatline

EghtesadOnline: Tehran stocks opened trading week on Saturday in positive territory only to retreat later as most shares pared early gains.

The benchmark of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, shed 52.65 points and closed flat at 0.00% to stand at 1,284,107.

Most indicators were flat reflecting a lukewarm market.  The TSE’s equal-weighted index settled 0.01% higher and the TSE-30 index was up slightly higher at 0.05%. The former index gives the same weight to all shares and the latter tracks the performance of 30 companies in terms of market cap. 

Prices in 176 companies gained and 296 tickers dropped, indicating 60% of the total tickers.  

About 7.25 billion shares valued at 50.87 trillion rials ($188.43 million) changed hands at TSE for the day. Trading at TSE and junior exchange Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.

Sepid Makian Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 5.78% to 19,580 rials per share.

Zagros Pharmed Pars Pharmaceutical Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 4.95% to 9,980 rials per share.

Mobarakeh Steel Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Mellat Bank, Nouri Petrochemical Company and Iran Khodro Company.

Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index followed by National Iranian Copper Industries Company, Mines and Metals Development Investment Company and Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines Company.

 

IFX Dips 0.07%

Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, closed slightly below the flatline, losing 12.89 points or 0.07% to end Saturday trade at 17,567.88. About 5.61 billion shares and securities valued at 89.04 trillion rials ($329.7m) were traded at junior exchange for the day.

Minoo Industrial Group Company, Zagros Petrochemical Company, Iranian Reinsurance Company and Arya Sasol Polymer Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

Shiraz Oil Refining Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Pasargad Insurance Company, Omid Taban Hoor Energy Management Company and Tajali Mines and Metals Development Company.
