TEDPIX Slightly Higher

EghtesadOnline: Leading a lukewarm session on Tuesday, the benchmark of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, ended trade slightly higher.

The market cap-weighted TEDPIX gained 2,492.03 points or 0.19% to finish trade at 1,337,269.21.

Small caps outperformed, pushing up the TSE’s equal-weighted index by close to 0.4%. 

At the close of the session, 266 tickers gained and prices of 227 others dropped, representing 45% of the total tickers. 

Retail trade rose 7% on the session before to reach 29.39 trillion rials ($110 million), accounting for 28% of the total deal.  

About 8.64 billion shares worth 51.95 trillion rials ($199.8m) changed hands at TSE for the day.

Trading at TSE and the junior exchange Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.

Pars Animal Feed Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 4.97% to 33,770 rials per share.

Pars Shahab Lamp Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 4.86% to 93,860 rials per share.

Chadormalu Mining And Industrial Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Tehran Oil Refining Company, Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company and Esfahan Oil Refining Company.

Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index followed by Iran Khodro Company, Mellat Bank and Nouri Petrochemical Company.

 

IFX Down 0.05%

Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, lost 9.92 points or 0.05% to close Tuesday trade at 18,129. About 2.37 billion shares and securities valued at 40.9 trillion rials ($157m) were traded at the junior exchange for the day.

Tajali Mines and Metals Development Company had the highest number of traded shares as 226.36 million of its shares worth 349.66 billion rials ($1.34m) were traded.

Minoo Industrial Group Company, Zagros Petrochemical Company, Tajali Mines and Metals Development Company and Negin Software Systems Development Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

Damavand Power Generation Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Saman Insurance Company and Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company.
