Ohadi made the remarks in a meeting on Sunday with Iraqi Housing and construction Minister Ann Nafi Aussei.

According to IRNA, Iran's technical and engineering and knowledge-based companies are prepared to making investments in Iraq.

Referring to an official invitation of the Iraqi minister for a visit to Tehran by her Iranian counterpart, Ohadi expressed hope that the visit will take place at the earliest.

In the meantime, the Iraqi minister welcomed the expansion of cooperation with Iran, noting that promotion of ties with neighbors, the Islamic Republic of Iran in particular, tops the agenda of the Iraqi government.

She also touched upon the big victories of the Iraqi armed forces in the fight against Daesh terrorists, saying boosting security in Iraq will lead to further security across the entire region.

The two sides agreed to form a joint committee to pursue the case of arrears owed by the Iraqi companies to their Iranian counterparts.
